| ROSE GARDEN THAI CULTURAL SHOWS |
|
Located 32 kilometers from the city of Bangkok, the Rose Garden is a huge park built in the midst of rural scenery along the Nakhon Chaisri River. One of the park’s major attractions is the Thai Village, which offers a potpourri of Thai cultural activities and shows that include Thai boxing, sword fighting, Thai dances, elephants at work and many more.
The auditorium represents a typical village, with the central clay area as the village square. The stage represents a traditional Thai house found in the countryside.
The shows will highlight traditions customs, dances and entertainment from the north, the south, the central plains and the northern eastern plateau. It will also link past and present to give you a glimpse of the diversity that is Thailand.

Pra Pathom Chedi
This is one of the largest chedis in the world, and one of the most revered of all Buddhist structures. At 380 feet high and glistening like gold in the sunlight, the chedi can be seen for miles around. The original chedi, over which the present chedi has been built was erected by the Mons of the ancient Kingdom of Suwannaphum, resembling Indian stupas of the 3rd century. Later, under Khmer influence, a Brahmin prang was built over the stupa. The present chedi was built in the mid 19th century during the reign of King Mongkut.
