Capital of Siam
From pier in Laem Chabang, drive will take you around 2 ½-hour to the incredible metropolis of Bangkok. Continue on passing city heading further north smooth express way visit Bang Pa in, royal Summer Palace.
Bang Pa-in was a riverine island. King Prasat Thong (1630-1655) had palace built lake middle island as retreat, and it used by every succeeding Ayutthaya monarch. When capital moved Bangkok, left unused for 80 years. Bang Pa-in
was later revived by King Rama IV
(1851-1868), who had a house built
there. His son, King Rama V
(18681910), liked the place
immensely, stayed there every year
and constructed the splendid
ensemble as it is seen today.

Continue further north to visit Ayutthaya, the second capital of Siam from 1350 to 1767.
Once a thriving international commercial center, today only the ruins of this splendid city are to be seen. The Burmese
invalided the capital in 1767.The ruins and temple are quite spectacular and some are still quite intact
like the statues of Wat Pananngcherng, As well as the ruins of the palace and many other famous ruins temples of Ayuthaya.

Bangkok and then onward to Laem
Chabang. As you travel you will capture a sense of the simple life of the friendly people who live here
in the city.
